16) Best and Worst Dating Moments
We had a lot of best, and really only one worst! ha ha! I've said over and over again that we love new things and are always full of adventure. That really made our dating life fun and exciting! We found ourselves making frequent trips to Orem to look at boats, we usually hit up Cabellas or Boondocks on the way home! We frequented yogurt stop, applebees, and red robin. There was always a new car or bike that we were traveling to look at. I loved our long talks during our drives! Austin always let me drive his new car home, made me feel extra special! :) We played lots of double shot and air hockey! It didnt really matter what it was we were doing, we were always having fun! Our worst... probably the engagement break-up! Those were a hard 3 weeks! Call me crazy, but I wouldn't take it back. I would do it all over again because I cant even begin to tell you how grateful it made me for Austin. Obviously I always was grateful, but I realized that month just how much I took many of the little things for granted. During that time I always told my mom it'd be so hard to date anybody else because I would NEVER be able to get Aust off a pedestal, he was completely perfect in every sense of the way! It made me ever so grateful for the gospel, knowing that everything happens for a reason and that I could find peace and comfort in every aspect of my life! It also made me very close to my family, I already was, I just had to lean on them extra hard during that time! Austin and I grew so much stronger not only on our own but together, and that is why I am grateful for, what seemed like the end of my life at the time! Lucky for me I get to spend forever with the most perfect boy!

13) Favorite Activities To Do Together
We Love to boat/wakeboard. We Love hockey games, watching jazz games. Hanging out with friends, really whatever, we are pretty adventurous and love trying new things.

14) Favorite Memories Together
hhmm.. well the wedding! Austin had an idea to have a lemonade stand, middle of october, so we did it and it was so much fun. I felt so silly out there in my big coat selling lemonade being 20 yes old but it was fun. We even made $12!

15) Most Embarrassing Dating Moment
Austin swears he said I Love You in the car several times and that I just ignored him, that was his most embarrassing he said. ha ha but we thought of a few others. The good thing is, we rarely get embarrassed, so these are just funny moments.
One time my cousins were over and I was sitting next to my cousin Jen, and Aust was across the table, he thought that Jens knee was mine and started rubbing it.. ha ha it was really awkward but so funny!
One time we went over to our friends house, we went in gave hugs, Austin hugged his friends mom, and then without even thinking he kissed her on the cheek like he always does his own mom. Jane just laughed and said "oooh, I get a kiss too?" ha ha

11) 10 Things About Jillisa

I Love anything zebra, black, white, red and pink.
Unlike many people, I absolutely love my birthday, like I'm talking I cant sleep for like 3 days prior! ha ha Lucky for me Austin's b-day is a day after mine so we get to double party! :)
I love nails, I loved getting my license and I just love doing them and everything about them!
I could eat popcorn all day everyday
I HATE the feel of glass, strictly plastic for me... or brand new glasses that haven't seen the dishwasher yet!
I constantly change my hair color, its like an obsession!
I HATE being cold and sadly I am usually never warm enough!
I Love being on a boat, I don't necessarily have to be doing anything but just being there is great enough for me. Its a bonus that Aust is so fun to watch wakeboard!
You will never ever see me without fingernail polish on my toes. I literally cannot STAND them not painted, good thing I enjoy it!
I always say things are awkward, maybe its just habit but I definitely think plenty of things in life are awkward ha ha.
I love Austin. duh? But really he's the best thing ever, I'm grateful day in and day out for him!

10) 10 Things About Austin:
The obvious, hes obsessed with wake boarding, he's amazing at it.
He Lives on KSL.
He has a need to buy and sell anything and everything, luckily he always makes money but he's gone through countless cars, motorcyles, guns, car parts, a boat, etc. etc.
His favorite food is Pizza and lasagna
Austin doesn't really Munch on things, he doesn't really have snacks and rarely will just eat candy.
He loves the movie Hot Rod. Thats usally the first question he asks a person is whether they have seen it, if not, plans are canceled and we are watching Hot Rod.
He is the best driver ever. Seriously best parallel parker, best snow driver, just best driver.
Hes the funny guy. He is known around his friends as the funny, witty one. Its true, nobody can make me laugh as hard nor frequent as Austin can.
He Loves Ronix (his wakeboarding gear brand) I think he is up to 5 Ronix stickers on his car.
Aust has great style, I've always loved that about him, but he always dresses and smells the best! :)

6) The Wedding Day
It was perfect. The temple was beautiful, he was hott, my dress was a dream, our families and friends were all there, truly perfect.

7) The Honeymoon
We went to Vegas. It was SOO fun, I've never felt so grown up! We stayed at the stratosphere, went to many shows, walked the strip everyday, swam, it was great. I'm glad we can go back and visit so much because it has such fun memories for us!

8) Our First Holiday Together
Was Valentines day. I'm one of those girls that thinks its so overrated, not that I've had bad ones, I just think its a silly holiday. It was fun though. We went out to eat at Iggys, had their to die for beer batter fries, than went to speed street and raced. I got him Cologne.. I think? but he got me the best, concert tickets to my favorite band, New found Glory. He did so good, the date was perfect.

9) Our First Home
Looking back I still cant believe we bought it. It smelt terrible, it was like a disaster inside but it was a good size, good location and good price. It is PERFECT. We remodeled, the entire thing, it took a month but its so cute now, we love it, I couldn't be happier.

So I saw this on a friends Blog, and decided it looked fun. I probably will have to do a few posts a day because I Dont always have time to post but we will see how it goes. So for the next little while you will get to know Austin and I. :)

1) How We Met
We used to work together at Murdock Chev. We first met at our work Christmas party, I went with some lot techs and low and behold, the king of the lot techs sat at our table (Austin) I specifically remember coming home and telling my mom I met THE funniest/ cutest kid ever.

2) Our First Date
We went to Costa Vida and watched the Flo rider and I fly, after dinner we headed to Austins to watch Hot Rod. I laughed, NON stop and the night was perfect. Once again when I got home I told my mom it was the BEST date I had EVER been on.

3)First Kiss
I will have you know, I have the best memory ever, I really do remember everything, sometimes Austin thinks this isn't a good thing but I'm so sad to admit but I really didnt remember our first kiss. I'm terrible. Anyways I had to text Aust to remind me, he said we were at his parents house watching Eagle Eye!

4) How We "Knew"
Well we became officially "together" on Feb. 10, I remember wanting to tell him I loved him many a time before then I didnt though because we had only been dating for like a month haha. I "knew" long long before we even got too serious. Heres a story for you. I had been dating a kid, seriously for about a year. Things just weren't going great, I didnt want to believe it so our relationship became just a habit, it finally got to the point I was just so discouraged and knew it wasn't right, even if at the time I wanted it to be. It was a Sunday morning, I had gotten on facebook, and for NO apparent reason I typed in the search bar Austin Burningham.. I found this on his page:
My life was changed. I "knew." I immediately called up my best friend, Lou! (She really is the best, we had gone separate ways the past 5 months due to my dating situation, she knew best but I didn't listen, yet the sec. I called her up she was there for me, no questions, no past judgments, just ready to listen) I went over there, told her about the pic I had found, expressed my heartbroken feelings of knowing what I needed to do. She was all support. Needless to say I broke up with the boy and life moved on. I'll admit I was anxious to get in touch with Austin but I waited a min. (like a 2 weeks ha ha) (kinda pathetic) so it didn't seem weird. After we went out I just knew, over and over again that this was it. This boy was going to change my life for the best! I had prayed about it, definitely pre-maturely but I wanted to know if this was right if my feelings were true. They were and so dated we did.

5) The Proposal
The first one or the second? ha ha! We like to tease Austin about his indecisiveness. Everybody always says, 3rd times a charm, Austin dated and proposed to somebody before me but than, he proposed to me... TWICE! :) The first, June 8 2009 we were in Lake Powell Wake boarding, he had the ring, in his swimsuit pocket and asked while we were actually wake boarding! The second, Feb. 13 2010. We were at speed street, I had gone around the track, he lapped me but because of that I was ahead of him. I looked back to see where he was, I couldn't see him so I just kept racing. after I went around a turn, the workers were holding up a huge banner that said will you marry me? I was a bit confused, didn't really think it was for me, then I looked about and there was Austin kneeling in the time out area holding my ring. It was so cute, everybody was cheering, etc.
(I sadly didn't have my camera the second time, but this was right after when we went to tell everybody!)

2010, its a long one!

Here is my top 25 favorite things about 2010

April 27. 2010- Perfection.


May 13. 2010- Closed on our home. I have never felt so overwhelmed, accomplished, scared, and excited, all at once. This was definitely the BIGGEST project EVER. It made Austin and I grow more together than I thought possible. We made it through an ENTIRE house remodel/makeover, pretty sure we could handle ANY storm now!


My mom. If you only knew. Shes the best, I definitely took her for granted, but after moving out I realized just how much I relied on her for everything, I'm grateful I live close, I'm grateful she doesn't mind me calling her at least 5 times a day, and at least 6 times while at the grocery store so she can direct me to finding dumb things like special yeast!


My job. Both of them. I'm lucky to love my jobs, this year at Clearfield has been such an adjustment with co-workers, etc. Its hard but I still love those kids and despite how bad things are around me, those kids make everything better.



Close, great friends. I have great friends. Austin has great friends (with great wifes!) I'm blessed!


Beauty school. I've learned so much (as I should at school!) Mostly though I've learned enduring to the end (for once! ha ha) its long days, I don't 100% LOVE it.... yet, but I'm hanging in there and I need that, for me! :)


The Sun/summer. I love Austin, always, but there is something special about Aust in summer! Obviously its his love of wake-boarding but its a whole new him, there's a new spark, its always an adventure, I love that call 10 min before the boat crew is leaving telling me hes got my gear, get my butt to the nearest freeway ramp, we are boating the night away! I love his excitement the thrill of his tricks. I also love it. I love the sun, the music, laughter, cheering, I love it all!


Blogging, I really do enjoy it! :)

Hot rod. The movie, its really not even the movie, yes I like it, yes its funny, but its Austin. Watching Austin watch Hot Rod, His body thrusting, knee slapping laugh makes it all worth it.
