catching up!

Wow. Its been a minute! I guess we will play a little catch up. Hopefully I can remember what all has gone on in our lives!
To start off I went to Vegas with Hazen. We left on Sunday and came back the following Sunday! Boy was it a very long trip. Minor recap: Cold weather, worked all day long, right through lunch and dinner; everyday, finally got to eat each night around midnight, 10 very hormonal girls, not so pleasant dancing coach to work with, inside jokes, laughter, quite a few tears, and a not so pleasant 2 hour shopping experience! It was an intense week! There was good times in there but at the time they seemed very few and far between! Needless to say I'm glad I am home!
We had very fun themed days; colored tights, hair accessory, black white patterns, etc! It was fun dressing up with the girls, hopefully all these pics will work so you can see them!

(don't mind this special one lol it wouldn't work!)
While I was gone my little sister got engaged. It was sad not being home but I'm so excited for her and I'm even more excited to plan another wedding with my mom and sisters, that's the best part!

My older sister had her baby Thursday, I took my lunch break and Aust and I went up to the hospital to see them. She had a beautiful baby boy, Luke! We have another nephew on the way within the next 2 months we are excited about!

Friday is our fun day, Austin has it off and I don't have school. We went shooting clear out in nowhere land. Though it was forever away we had fun!

General conference Saturday and Sunday! That's always a fun time, my sisters roommates all came home so we had a big breakfast with everybody! We missed Austin who was working but we enjoyed watching. I'm sure you guys saw this kid after Sunday afternoon session. We sure got a good laugh rewinding and re-watching!

Monday kicked off our spring break. We were really hoping to go on a cruise but it was sold out. I was so glad Austin took the whole week off to hang out and play it was fun! Monday we did boring stuff, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc. But boy was it so much better with him there. Tuesday we went on a nice motorcycle ride, took it easy. We went to Flo-rider, its so much fun watching Aust! Later that night we met up with friends! We have some friends that just moved back from Vegas, we are looking forward to hanging out a lot more with them now they are close! Wednesday we went go-cart racing and played mini golf. Then the real fun began. We went to St. George/ Vegas with our good friends Mike and Marni the rest of the week. Though the weather wasn't great we still had a great time. The boys enjoyed endless hours of Fantasy factory and us girls had fun chit chatting and hot tubing! It was definitely a successful week!

Now back to work and school! Ready or not here we come!

I hope its a good week and that I stay so busy I don't even realize I'm gone, I'm sure it will be fun, its just a long time away, but here goes nothing--- off to the sunny viva Las Vegas!

Cars. Floods. B days. Him. Her. Life

Boy its been a bit, haven't had much time lately but here we are again! I wish I had more pics to show but.... I'm feeling lazy and all my cute pics are on the camera!
Lets see, I experienced my first "scary" thing in our house. Last Saturday as you remember was pretty rainy, Aust got up went to work, I said bye and went back to sleep for about an hour in a half. I woke up and thought wow that rain is really coming down hard core, I went on to play on my phone! A while later I decided to get ready, I went to turn on the shower and something wasn't right, we have the STRONGEST water pressure you have ever seen, seriously it hurts! But this particular time it didn't seem so strong, I still heard the rain hard core, I went outside only to realize it was barely a sprinkle. INSTANT PANIC! I followed to noise to the hall then to the trap door leading to crawl space. Yup some pipe broke and all I could see was 3 inch of water, I freaked. I called my very awesome parents who came quickly to my rescue! They are the best, you should have seen my dad, I don't believe he could have gotten more muddy mud wrestling, it was such a mess. Thanks mom and dad for all the help! (Aust was at work and couldn't make it home)

We both got new cars!! YAH! As all of you know, for Austin this is no big deal, its a regular occurrence, for me on the other hand, its a huge deal and I'm soooo excited! We now have an 05' Silver gas hog Durango and... my car is an adorable 02' Black Eclipse! I'm in love! I kept telling Austin that my goal in life was to own a car that was cool enough for him to WANT to drive, I didn't think I'd achieve this so fast but I do believe I have, and after a 3 hour wax job I have planned for my day off I think it'll be even more resistible!

Ky- man turned 16! Where has the time gone? Last Monday I helped him ask a girl to PROM and it was the weirdest thing! I'm excited for him and all that is coming his way! Happy birthday my little but no so little brother! :)

I cant think of much more right now, though I know plenty more has happened, I guess this is all for now though!

Playing Catch up...

Wow, its been a while! Sorry! We are back and doing great! Not a whole lot has happened, the usual, lots of work, lots of school, and lots of job applications!

Austin never stops applying for job after job, hes so great! He's good about keeping all of his options open! He still is working hard, I feel so bad for him. Winter is definitely the WORST time to work as a lot tech. I mean who really wants to unlock and brush snow off hundreds of cars :(

I am busy with work, Hazen picked up so I've been working a lot there, it makes for very long work days sometimes but its not bad! School is well, school, kinda dragging but I'm in for the long haul!

Last week Aust sold his car, in hopes of buying a new one the next day, it would have been perfect if the darn guy didnt stretch the truth about this not so great car! Aust wasted a whole day, full of dissapointment and learning experiences! He always keeps his head up! We are currently on the hunt now for 2 cars! Im finally going to get a new one so wish us luck. In the meantime we will be getting rides from family, front runners, or even push scooters! Austin was able to get a few good rides with the motorcycle but due to the darn snow its made that impossible! Im hoping to pick up an Aveo. Austin thinks I'm crazy but I've seriously wanted one for over a year, don't really know why I just think they are so cute! As for Austin... well who knows, after all he will probably only keep it around for 3 months! haha

We had a great Valentines day! I am never disappointed, Austin does so good! We went to dinner at Iggys! (I was so glad! Its been a tradition but I wasn't sure if he remembered that) Its always so yummy! And then we went to Chucky Cheese. Now before you think that's lame let me tell you its been on my list of things to do for well my whole life. Maybe a was deprived as a child but I've never been. When they built one in Layton I was so excited, I've mentioned this many a time so for Valentines day that's what he surprised me with! I was so excited. It was fun to be a little kid again! I sure do love Austin and grateful he gets to be my valentine for the rest of forever!

Well thats pretty much it. Life is great, not to exciting but there ya have it! Oh and p.s. Last night as we sat down for dinner, it was Austs turn for the prayer, I'll admit I dont remember much because it started with "We are so grateful for this ample snow to fill our lakes for an awesome wake board season." He is funny!

today...

Today I am grateful for:

My job. BOTH of them. Seriously I have said this before, I'll definitely say it again, I'm so lucky to have jobs I really do enjoy. I had to leave one job to go be trained for a hirer position at a different one. I'm so excited! I wish everybody could love what they do as much as I do, it makes it easy to go to work! Sometimes I complain about long days or dumb girls but really I'm so lucky that 95% of the time everything is just great!

School. Do I really like it, NO but am I grateful for it, yes! I'm blessed to have the opportunity I do. I feel so lucky to be learning something once again that I love. I wish the actual school part would just be over already but in the meantime I'll stay grateful!

Sisters. They are great! As I was leaving for work, I got a bit excited thinking that my sister was probably at my moms (she wasn't) :( but regardless it made me happy I have them. My little sister is just great, she was home this weekend and it was fun I miss her being away! I'm SSOOOOO lucky Kas married such a great girl, really I get along so great with Chels, we went over there last night for a little jazz and bachelor, our Monday tradition! Im lucky I have her. I've become so close to my older sister, not like we weren't but we both head to moms for lunch and its so fun! I never realized until last week just how goofy we are together. Austin pointed out our silly British accent we do when we talk to each other! Dont ask where this came about, why, or even how. I seriously cant talk like that unless its Mindy I'm talking to!

Dust It. Its a hair product, matting powder to be exact. Seriously I'm obsessed, it makes for the best hair days, especially coming from this thin, no haired chick!

Phone calls to Austin. It took a while to get to this point, but our 2 min phone calls driving to and from work, on lunch, and random breaks are the best. Originally Aust was not a talker and it drove me crazy. I'm grateful for him and for caring. Even though he probably doesn't realize it, he makes me feel important and special. I know he's busy, I know he could really care less about me venting cuz I couldn't understand my gas Gage or whatever it may be that day but he still picks up, ALWAYS and he still makes time! A supreme example was just barely, I called him told him my training was good. (that would have been enough) but I had to talk to a neighbor so I told him I'd call right back. I called back and said "so ya training was good!" I mean really a bit pathetic but yet he still answered, he knows my history of calls and knows it was probably really pointless yet he still listened and then as I was going off pointlessly he sweetly said, "Babe I gotta go, I'm trying to jump a car, hold the hood, and help this person real quick" Clearly he was busy and didn't need to pick up the phone.. BUT he did. Hes the best!

That's pretty much it. My life is swell! Im so lucky!

What a busy life.

I have felt so overwhelmed the past week-ish. I haven't felt good at all and work and school have been kicking my butt! I'm so over these 13+ hour days full of same ole same ole! On the up side though some good things have happened this week.
My favorite part, is after long days I get to come home to this cute boy!
Jealous? You should be! I'm so lucky!
I had the sweetest gentleman tip me BIG for a simple haircut! (he made my day!)
I finally feel a big break through at school, tons of new girls just started and it made me realize just how much I really have learned, they ask me questions, and I am actually confident in my answers and helping them!
Aust bought me my favorite snacks one night when I got home! ( I appreciate him so much, I'm sure some of the time I'm not so pleasant during our phone calls but he always is understanding and makes me feel much better!)
I successfully cooked a simple recipe that turned out fabulous! (it wasn't a store bought freezer meal either! That's like a third! ha ha)
One of my best friends mom has been battling cancer, she had her surgery yesterday to finally remove it all! YAH!
My mom came home from Texas today! Ive definitely missed her, I usually stop by on my way to school to grab a bite to eat and I've missed her company!
AAANNNNDDDDDD Aust has an interview we've been hoping for tomorrow! He will do amazing, he always does, but keep us in your prayers tomorrow. He would really love to get out of his freezing cold job!
